We had a wonderful time in Portland...its so beautiful there. I didn't get pictures of our Turkey Trot we did Thursday morning...boy was it cold. It was a 4 mile walk down hill and back up. Once we were done we were ready to eat. We didn't do much besides just sit around the house. It was nice to catch up w/ family and relax. Laura was a great hostess (as always) and a wonderful cook. Steve you weren't too bad yourself:) p.s. thanks for warming up the crab for me...it was delicious!!! I did capture more on film then I did on the camera which is why I don't have many pictures. But it was still a wonderful Thanksgiving/Christmas and we'll never forget it.

Painting is fun

Just wanted to let you know we haven't posted any pictures because I left my camera cord in Portland. My sister will be sending it soon. By then you will be able to see before and after wall colors.

We signed papers on the 29th so we are officially homeowners...and we are realizing the cost of everything that goes into it. We bought primer this weekend to paint the walls. I never realized how much primer it would take. Hopefully this week we can get some colors on the wall. Next is carpet and then moving. I can't wait...our goal is to be in by the middle of December. Wish us luck.

I will post pictures soon.

We got the house

Just a quick update to let you know we got the house!!! We close on the 29th of November. This is all going by so quickly. I can't wait to move and get painting. Luckily we don't have a lot that needs to be done. The inspection is on Saturday...I'll be sure to take the camera and post some pictures.

On another note Mallory has been running a fever since Tuesday. I haven't taken her to the dr yet because I want it to weed itself out. She doesn't have a runny nose or a cough...just a fever. If she isn't better by tomorrow then we'll go to the dr.

We are leaving on Wednesday to go to Portland, OR for Thanksgiving. It's our 1st plane ride w/ Mallory so I'm a little nervous. At least we are leaving in the evening so I hope she will sleep most of the time. Thats it for now. Sorry no pictures this time.

Fruits of my labor

I thought this picture was funny because it looks like she is pulling the remote out of her neather reagion

This picture is for Aunt Lala...her new bibs. They are so cute. I had to sinch the straps up so the pant legs wouldn't drag. She has plenty of room to grow in them.

Back view

The fruits of my labor....this is a hat I crochet to match Mallory's winter coat. After trying many different patterns I finally figured out this on. It is so cute. Josh is trying to talk me into making a bunch and selling them online...I haven't taken to the idea yet but I'm still throwing it around.

Close up

Well we have made an offer on a house in Liberty. We will find out on Friday if the deal has gone through. Keep us in your prayers and we will keep you posted on the news.

Happy Halloween

Mallory was a Lady Bug Fairy this Halloween...I must say she was quite a hit.
Mom and Mal at playgroup on Tuesday.

We had 3 kids out sick on Tuesday so the group wasn't quite as big.
L to R: Mallory - Lady Bug, Ethan - Joe from Blue's Clues, Preston - Dinosaur, Oliver - Sheriff

A close up of Oliver's handlebar mustache

Mad fairies cast mad spells. This was our attempt to get them to stand in front of the fireplace. It's hard to keep four 1 year olds in one spot...so we sat them on the couch.

After literaly 3 minutes on the couch the kids were ready to get down.

Tuesday night we carved Mal's pumpkin...I am de-gutting.

Mal thought she would try out the pumpkin...didn't think it was too tasty. She ate a couple of raw pumpkin seeds w/out us knowing till they were 1/2 chewed up.

She loves the sit n' spin we stole from Janie. She is getting pretty good at it.

Dad is showing off the finishing touches...I de-gutted and he carved. Funny story, Josh set the carving knives on top of Nana's van...we're talking a butcher knife and a paring knife. Nana had to take Aunt B shopping and they drove off w/ the knives on top of the car. They found one after they got home (which I think freaked Becca out...she thought some one was out to get her)...but the butcher knife wasn't there. Nana said she heard something fall off the van on 291. I'm sure we gave someone a fright on Halloween Eve...a butcher knife falling off a van.

On Wednesday we went to Elizabeth and Brett's for a Halloween Party. It was lots of fun...lots kids running around.
Eli was a ghost for Halloween. Isn't he cute.

The back of Mal's costume...so cute.

All the kids.

We went trick or treating on the Liberty square. There were some cute and funny costumes.
A cute chicken

Dad taking Mal around. Brooke and Janie were ahead of us. I didn't get a picture of them together...Janie was a Snow Princess

Getting some candy from a little devil

A walking pumpkin...Mallory was in awe

Eore and Pooh (adult size).

Going down the street for MORE candy. She was so funny she chatted the whole time between houses. She would go up to the door and bang on it then try to open it. She wanted candy bad.

Standing next to her pumpkin

Family Picture

Dad and his lady bug

We had a really great Halloween. Mallory had so much fun getting candy...even though she can't eat 1/2 of it. She wouldn't even let me hold her bucket when it started getting too heavy for her. It's amazing how independent she has gotten in the last year. Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Staying Busy

On Saturday we went to my friend Sarah (Kohler) Hartley's wedding reception. It was a lot of fun and she was so beautiful...I didn't get a very good picture of her. I saw lots of people I haven't seen in years. It's amazing how much some people change and how some don't.

Of course we sat w/ Da and Charles. I had to post this picture because it looks like Mallory is trying to pinch Charles.

By the end of the night it was time to go. Mal surprisingly didn't fall asleep until we were almost home.

She just woke up from a nap when a package from Aunt Lala came in the mail.

Reading her new book...thank you Aunt Lala

Her new Levi bibs...they are so cute.

She had pudding for a snack and the spoon got a little out of control

Last Friday Josh and I ate at the new Mexican restaurant on the square Los Compos...Oh MY GOSH it is by far the best Mexican I've had in a LONG, LONG time (but not as good as Dos Reales). We had a great time despite loosing our waiter. Mal was able to eat a taco because the shells are made out of corn.

Dad enjoying his food.

Uncle Aaron and girlfriend Hailey helping Mal put my high heel boots on. The girl LOVES shoes.

Dad and Mal waiting for a table at the Big Biscuit. She is getting so big.

Well it's Halloween...we have lots of events planned today so we will be busy. I will post pictures soon. Everyone have a Happy and Safe Halloween.
